80G Tax Benefits for Donors
MRM Foundation is committed to transparency and encourages charitable contributions to support our educational and social welfare objectives. If MRM Foundation holds a valid registration under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (as issued/renewed by the Income Tax Department), eligible donors can claim tax deductions on their contributions.
- Deduction Levels: Donors may be eligible for 50% or 100% deduction on the donated amount (depending on the category of the Foundation's registration and current rules). In many cases for general charitable trusts/NGOs, it is 50% of the donation amount, often subject to a limit of 10% of the donor's adjusted gross total income.
- Eligibility & Process: Donations must be made via approved modes (cheque, online transfer, UPI, etc.). Cash donations exceeding ₹2,000 are not eligible for deduction. Donors will receive an official Form 10BE certificate from us (mandatory for claiming in ITR), typically issued by May 31 following the financial year.
- Automated via Razorpay: If you donate through our Razorpay-integrated Payment Pages (when enabled), we can automatically generate and email tax-exempt receipts (including 80G details) instantly upon successful transaction — reducing manual effort and ensuring quick confirmation.
- Important Notes:
- Tax benefits depend on the Foundation's valid 80G certificate status, your taxable income, and prevailing Income Tax rules (as of 2026). No upper limit on donation amount, but deduction caps apply in some categories.
- This is not tax advice — please consult your tax advisor or refer to the Income Tax Department website for the latest guidelines.
- All donations are used solely for charitable objects as per our trust deed and Indian laws.
